asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is the cost to date of equity investment undertaken by the Welsh Development Agency.

Mr. John Morris

To date, the Agency has committed itself to equity investments totalling some £250,000. A further £1.2 million has been committed in the form of medium-term loans. The Agency also has a substantial number of new investment prospects under consideration.
