§ Mr. MaclennanI am currently considering new appointments to the Scottish Consumer Council and will be going to Glasgow to see a number of candidates next month. When selecting members for this and other consumer protection bodies in Scotland I am always happy to receive names from as wide a variety of sources as possible, including both tin-dividuals and consumer and other organisations I am particularly concerned to ensure representation of the less privileged sections of the community. My Department would welcome information about anybody in Scotland who might wish to make a contribution to the work of these bodies, for consideration when suitable vacancies arise.
