§ Mr. Meacher,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, July 1977;Vol. 936, col. 390], gave the following information: Between the second quarters of 1976 and 645W 1977 the value of United Kingdom exports, on a balance of payments basis, rose by 29 per cent. with a rise of 8½ per cent. in volume.
