Mr. Prior

asked the Secretary of State for Transport whether he will now receive a deputation from the people of Beccles so that they can present to him a petition signed by 6,000 people seeking assurance on the priority for a new bypass as requested by the right hon. Member for Lowestoft on a number of recent occasions.

I shall be happy to meet a deputation led by the right hon. Gentleman if he feels this would be useful.
