HC Deb 27 July 1977 vol 936 c303W
Mr. Madel

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many people under 19 years of age have attended skillcentres during the last 12 months.

Mr. Golding,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 25th July 1977, Vol. 936, c. 60], gave the following information:

I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that the precise information requested is not available. However, it is estimated that some 1,800 young people under 19 years of age attended courses at skillcentres in 1976 of whom about 1,500 completed their courses. Figures available for the first quarter of 1977 show that 369 young people under 19 years of age completed courses during this period.
