HC Deb 27 July 1977 vol 936 cc226-7W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Minister for the Civil Service on how many occasions, for the longest and most convenient period of time, the Government have declined to implement the review reports of review bodies on wages and salaries in addition to that of Members' salaries.

Mr. Charles R. Morris

None. The Government have not declined to implement any of the reports issued by the Review Bodies on Top Salaries, Doctors' and Dentists' Remuneration and Armed Forces' Pay since the bodies were set up in 1971.

Apart from the reports on Members' salaries, referred to in my hon. Friend's Question, a decision on the implementation of a Review Body report has been deferred on two other occasions.
