§ Mr. BennI am currently reviewing the future development of the fast reactor in this country, including our policy on the construction of a full-scale demonstration reactor. I am considering with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment how best to implement the Government's undertaking, set out in the recent White Paper (Cmnd. 6820), to settle and announce, before any decision is taken on such a reactor, a special procedure for wider public debate.
