HC Deb 27 July 1977 vol 936 cc341-2W
Miss Richardson

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what representations he has received from women's organisations in Northern Ireland about the progress of the Divorce Reform (Northern Ireland) Bill [Lords]; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Mason

Representations urging reform of the divorce law in Northern Ireland have been received from the Northern Ireland Women's Aid Federation and the Women's Law and Research Group. As to the Government's attitude to changes in the law on divorce, I would refer my hon. Friend to the

answer which I gave to the right hon. Member for Down, South (Mr. Powell) on 19th July—[Vol. 935, c. 471.]
