HC Deb 27 July 1977 vol 936 cc352-3W
Mr. David Watkins

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list all Acts of Parliament for which he is responsible that require companies to disclose information, stating under each Act what information has to be disclosed, how, by when and to whom.

Mr. John Morris

In general the powers which are exercised by me or on my behalf in Wales are the same as those which the corresponding Ministers exercise in England. However, two Acts relating specifically to Wales, namely, the Welsh Development Agency Act 1975 (Section 24) and the Development of Rural Wales Act 1976 (Section 16) also provide for the Agency and the Development Board for Rural Wales, in exercising their functions in relation to land, to require an owner or occupier of land to state his interest therein, and that of any other person known to him to have an interest.
