§ Mr. Donald Stewartasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what was the total amount raised in the last year by horserace betting levy and how much of this was raised in Scotland.
§ Dr. Summerskill,pursuant to her reply [Official Report, 20th July 1977; Vol. 935, c. 553–4], gave the following information
The Horserace Betting Levy Board's total income for the period 1st April 1976 to 31st March 1977 amounted to about 153W £10,275,000, of which it is estimated that almost £1 million derived from Scotland.
