§ Dr. GilbertService men are normally allowed between 30 and 42 days annual leave, in addition to public holidays, depending on rank and service within the overall total, the number and timing of separate leave periods vary according to Service needs and the individual's preference. Four travel warrants are available to every Service man each year, with an additional eight for a married man serving unaccompanied by his family at his place of duty.
