§ Mr. Guy BarnettThe 10 authorities who by 1st July had asked my right hon. Friend for some form of special assistance for inner city problems other than a partnership were Coventry, Hull, Leicester, Portsmouth, Rochdale, Sefton, South Tyneside, Sunderland, Tameside, West Yorkshire.
Some of these authorities, however, have also asked for partnerships, and a recent application has been made for Stoke-on-Trent.
