§ Mr. Campbellasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will make a statement on progress with the agreement between the United Kingdom and Norwegian Governments for the joint development of the Frigg offshore gas-field.
§ Dr. J. Dickson MabonThe Frigg Gas Field Agreement (Cmnd. 6491) between the United Kingdom and Norway entered into force on 22nd July 1977. This follows the completion by both countries of the internal requirements necessary to give effect to the Agreement, which was signed in May 1976. The agreement was brought into force by an exchange of letters between Her Majesty's Ambassador to Norway and the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs.
