HC Deb 21 July 1977 vol 935 c689W
Mr. Hicks

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment in what circumstances the six-month period allowed to an individual to exercise his right of appeal to the Secretary of State in respect of a planning decision made by the local planning authority may be extended.

Mr. Guy Barnett

Extensions are allowed only where the appellant can show good reason why the appeal was not made within six months, such as prolonged sickness or absence.
