Mr. Teddy Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement outlining the Government's present negotiation position on fishing limits, in the light of the further EEC discussions on 18th July.

Mr. Milian

The Government's position in regard to the negotiations on the common fisheries policy was set out in the statement which I made to the House on 29th June—[Vol. 934, c.445–54]—on the meeting of the Council of Ministers held in Luxembourg on 27th June. This position has not been changed by the discussions which took place in the Council this week.
