HC Deb 21 July 1977 vol 935 cc642-3W
23. Mr. Fry

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many letters his Department received in 1976 which related to applications for entry into the United Kingdom; and to how many individuals these letters referred.

Mr. John

I regret that the figures asked for are not available, but only a small proportion of the 1¼ million items of correspondence received by the Immigration and Nationality Department of the Home Office last year related to applications for entry into the United Kingdom.
