Mr. Cryer

Following is the information:

Mr. Alan Williams

I am very pleased to hear Vauxhall Motors are announcing today they are expanding production at their Ellesmere Port plant and this is expected to create an additional 2,000 jobs by the end of this year. As this project is located in a special development area the Government are providing assistance under Section 7 of the Industry Act 1972 to help with the creation of these much needed new jobs. Additional jobs are expected to be created at Luton as a result of the company beginning assembly of the Cavalier which is presently being imported from Europe.
