The relevant statistics are maintained under Standard Industrial Classification headings whereby claimants engaged in sea transport are grouped with those engaged in air transport and "Miscellaneous Transport Services and Storage". For this group, as regards industrial injury benefit, there were, 3,400 spells of incapacity in the period June 1974 to May 1975 while the total number of disablement pension assessments current on 30th September 1975, for all years of commencement, was 2.700. These are the latest figures available.
