Mr. Alan Lee Williamsasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he is satisfied that, with other commitments during 1977, the Royal Air Force will have enough opportunities for low-level operational training.
§ Mr. WellbelovedYes. This is a busy year for the RAF, but within our peacetime operational limits every opportunity is being taken to complete this year's programme of training. I wrote to several hon. Members and right hon. Members on 17th June about possible increased low-level activity over their constituencies this summer. The RAF also makes use of low-level facilities made available to them in Europe and Canada. RAF crews will also have the opportunity to take part in operational training with the USAF in Nevada next month and I am most grateful to the United States and our other NATO partners for providing these valuable opportunities.
