§ 20. Sir Bernard Braineasked the Secretary of State for Transport why the safety regulations governing movement of hazardous chemicals by road are not accompanied by appropriate regulations for movement of such cargoes by water.
§ Mr. HoramAll major ports have bye—laws covering the movement of certain classes of dangerous goods. My right hon. Friend has drawn the attention of the Chairman of the Health and Safety Commission to the need to make progress with the preparation of regulations having national effect covering all classes of dangerous goods. I am writing to the hon. Member on the matter.
