Mr. W. E. Garrettasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether she has considered the position for the next academic year of those students who would have been eligible for a mandatory minimum award but did not apply for it.
§ Mr. OakesYes. My right hon. Friend has decided that students already on courses without grants who satisfy the new awards regulations coming into effect from 1st September next will be entitled to an award, provided they apply to their local education authority before the end of the coming autumn term.
