§ Mr. Carter:No representations have been received regarding the appointment to education and library boards of additional members drawn from staff working in the health and personal social services. The question of appointing to health and social services boards additional members drawn from staff working in those services was discussed at a recent meeting between my noble Friend the Minister of State and representatives of the Northern Ireland Committee of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions. The Northern Ireland Committee agreed to put forward proposals for further consideration, and these have not yet been received.
