§ Mr. Viggersasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is his policy regarding the recommendation 285W made by the Joint Port Trade Development Committee that an Industrial Development Board should be appointed for London's and docks.
§ Mr. Shore:I am discussing with the constituent members of the Docklands Joint Committee the setting up of an inner-city partnership for dockland mentioned in the recent White Paper on Policy for the Inner Cities (Cmnd. 6845). The Docklands Joint Committee has already set up a Docklands Industrial Group to co-ordinate and develop the promotion of industrial development in the area. Proposals to improve facilities available to industrialists will doubtless be high on the list of matters to be discussed within the new partnership arrangements.
