§ 34. Mr. Max Maddenasked the Secretary of State for Trade, if he will place in the Library a copy of the EEC document submitted to the recent meeting in Geneva concerned with the Multi-Fibre Arrangement; and if he will make a statement on the progress of those talks.
§ Mr. MeacherI have placed in the Library a copy of the document concerned. The reactions of the exporting countries were generally critical, but negotiations are continuing in Geneva and it is too early to say what their outcome will be.
