Mr. R. C. Mitchell

asked the Attorney-General (1) how many civil servants in his Department of the rank of principal or equivalent and above are graduates of Oxford and Cambridge universities; and how many are graduates of other universities;

(2) how many civil servants in his Department of the rank of deputy secretary or equivalent and above are graduates of Oxford and Cambridge and how many are graduates of other universities.

The Attorney-General

Of the civil servants in my Department of the rank equivalent to principal or above one is a graduate of Oxford or Cambridge, two are graduates of Oxford or Cambridge and other universities, three, including one of the rank of deputy secretary, are graduates of other universities and three are not graduates of any university.
