§ Mr. Frank Maguireasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many category A prisoners have their visits under more closely supervised conditions; and how many of these are prisoners convicted of offences arising out of the current situation in Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. John92 prisoners have their visits under more closely supervised conditions in the interests of security. Whether the offences of which a prisoner has been convicted arise out of the current situation in Northern Ireland is a matter of judgement, but we believe this to be the case with respect to 82 of those prisoners.
