§ Mr. HoramThe research phase of the Government's quiet heavy goods vehicle project was completed at the end of last year. This and other research has shown the technical feasibility of a heavy vehicle with a noise limit of 80 dBA. Development work is now in progress to determine the feasibility of mass producing such a vehicle and the costs involved. This phase of the project should be completed early next year.
