§ Miss Maynardasked the Secretary of State for Employment what proposals he has for putting young persons in agriculture on a similar footing to factory workers with regard to the maximum number of hours per week which they may work.
§ Mr. John Grant,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 11th July 1977; Vol. 94W 935, c. 54] gave the following information:
I have been advised by the Chairman of the Health and Safety Commission that the Commission has decided to review all age-based health and safety legislation, including the restrictions applying to factory work and agriculture. The Commission will consider what, if any, changes are necessary, consult with interested bodies, and then make proposals to me for any new regulations which it may consider desirable.
