§ Mr. Biggs-Davisonasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what inquiry has been made into allegations of terrorist intimidation and interference at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MasonThe Royal Victoria Hospital site has been subjected to theft, attacks upon staff, vandalism and other forms of crime some of which is terrorist inspired. In all cases these matters are reported to and investigated by the police. The administration of the hospital is the responsibility of the Eastern Health and Social Services Board, which is paying close attention to the situation. I am naturally concerned that there should be an early improvement.
