§ Mr. Wardasked the Lord President of the Council whether he will set up a further committee of inquiry into the refreshment facilities within the Palace of Westminster to put forward comprehensive proposals for the longer term physical rearrangement of accommodation for improved catering services.
§ Mr. FootI consider the first priority must be to put the finances of the Refreshment Department on a more satisfactory long-term basis, and to introduce a system of budgetary control, as recommended by the Committee of Inquiry chaired by my hon. Friend the Member for Bethnal Green and Bow (Mr. Mikardo). I hope that we shall soon be in a position to achieve this.
