§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether, during the past 18 months, there has been an occasion on which there were no persons unemployed in the Gwynedd Special Development Area who could undertake work as a joiner/handyman.
§ Mr. GoldingI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that there are unemployed joiners in the Gwynedd Special Development Area. I cannot tell the hon. Member whether any of these could undertake a special joiner/ handyman job without knowing the employer's precise requirements and the terms and conditions offered.
