§ Mr. Dunnettasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what increases in family income supplement would be required to enable a married man earning, respectively, £40, £50, £55, £60, £65 and £70 per week, with, respectively, one, two, three and four dependent children to have a take-home pay including family benefit, respectively, 10 per cent., 20 per cent. and 30 per cent. higher than his income if he were unemployed; and what would be the cost to the Exchequer in a full year.
