§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales what plans are known to his Department for, and what assistance is being provided towards the establishment of a chair in geriatric medicine at the University of Wales, and what is the target date for achieving this objective.
§ Mr. Barry JonesThe establishment of such a chair is a matter for the Welsh National School of Medicine. I announced on 23rd May that my right hon. and learned Friend was setting up a research project at the Welsh National School of Medicine into the care of the elderly.
