§ Mr. Pardoeasked the Secretary of State for Trade what proposals he has to use some of the special tourism aid for North Cornwall to attract overseas tourists to the area.
§ Mr. MeacherThe area from Bude to Wadebridge in North Cornwall and Devon will be one of three localities where on a special pilot basis we should like to use aid to help establish fresh tourism growth points; but, as indicated in reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Kingston upon Hull, Central (Mr. McNamara) on 20th May, the exact proposals will depend on local consultations. I am sure these will have regard to the possibilities of attracting overseas as well as home tourists.
