Mr. Gordon Wilson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the effect of gross annual value of a house fitted with one or more of the following: insulation, double glazing, central heating and solar water heating.

The assessor would take such features into account in estimating gross annual value, but since the effect on value of any feature is influenced by its extent and by circumstances peculiar to the house and its location, it is not possible to give a general answer.
