§ Mr. Ifor Daviesasked the Secretary of State for Wales what assistance he proposes to give towards the provision of proper facilities for major concerts in the capital city of Wales.
§ Mr. John MorrisI propose to offer the Cardiff Council a grant of £1 million towards the cost of construction of a concert hall which is to be included in its central area redevelopment scheme, and which will, in my view, constitute a major national asset to Welsh cultural life. The necessary estimates will be presented in due course. The cost will be met from within my public expenditure allocation and taken into account in the calculation of the appropriate cash limits at the beginning of each financial year.
