§ Mr. Alec JonesAt September 1976, the latest date for which information is available from the Joint Manpower Watch Survey, it is provisionally estimated that local government in Wales employed 154,432 persons full- and part-time. Within this total are 1,489 persons taken on under the job creation programme. The comparable figure for September 1975 when there was no job creation programme was 153,498. Information is published only for all local authorities collectively.
