§ 35. Mr. Mikardoasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if, in view of the comments of the judge in the case of Tito and others v. the Attorney-General about the moral responsibility of the Crown towards the inhabitants of the Ocean Islands, he will make an ex gratia payment to the plaintiffs in partial discharge of that moral responsibility.
