§ Mr. Barry JonesMy Department has received a letter from the Wales Tourist Board about the position in Caernarvon, as it is affected by preparatory work for the inner relief road. The board has been informed that the advance demolition works, which were started following representations by both Gwynedd County Council and the Royal Town Council, have removed areas of dilapidation along the route and will shorten the construction period for the major roadworks. The relief road when completed will contribute greatly to the devolpment of tourism and the environment of the town.
