§ Mr. Ralph Howellasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if a man with a wife and two children whose rent is £4.72, rates £1.90, would have a net weekly spending power of £36.64 when receiving supplementary benefit only; and what wage it would be necessary for him to earn in order to leave him with £36.64 spending power if his work expenses were £1.75.
