§ Mr. Greville Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will exercise the discretion conferred on him by Section 14 (6) of the Factories Act 1961, and make regulations requiring the fencing of materials or articles which are dangerous while in motion in a machine.
§ Mr. John GrantSection 14 (6) of the Factories Act 1961 was repealed on 1st January 1975 by the Factories Act 1961 etc. (Repeals and Modifications) Regulations 1974 (SI 1974, No. 1941). The power to make regulations on such matters is now incorporated in Section 15 of the Health and Safety at Work, etc., Act. The need for such regulations is to be considered by the Health and Safety Commission in the course of its review of existing legislation.
