§ Mr. John FraserThe Commission of the European Communities has not yet put forward any proposals relating to domestic electric plugs. The United Kingdom is fully participating in discussions on this subject, both in the international standards bodies and in the Community. There is no proposal to replace the present three-prong square-pinned earthed plugs with two-prong round-pinned non-earthed plugs.
