§ Mr. Cartwrightasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if he is yet in a position to make a statement about the discussions between the Director General of Fair Trading and the major frozen food suppliers about the implementation of the recommendations of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission.
§ Mr. John FraserI understand that the Director General has held detailed discussions with some of the leading frozen food processors and that further meetings have been arranged. The Director General will be advising me of the results of his discussions in due course.
