§ Mr. Normantonasked the Secretary of State for Energy what is his policy regarding the implementation of the proposals of the European Commission for a Community energy policy.
§ Mr. BennThe EEC Energy Council on 21st December 1976 agreed a programme of work for 1977 so as to enable outstanding proposals to be discussed in an orderly manner. During the period of the United Kingdom Presidency I shall seek to achieve agreement on the topics covered in the first part of this programme, and, where appropriate, to initiate discussions on matters which are to be decided later.
