§ Mr. GoldingAs at 14th January 1977, 4,129 applications for subsidy had been approved in respect of young people obtaining employment in England and 470 in Scotland. Assuming that all the employment lasts for the full period of 26 weeks for which subsidy is payable, the costs will be £1,073,540 and £122,200 respectively.
