HC Deb 21 January 1977 vol 924 c376W
Mr. Stephen Ross

asked the Secretary of State for Trade how far he has progressed with the revised voluntary code for booking practice for tourist accommodation; and whether the views of all the tourist boards, including the Isle of Wight Tourist Board, have now been sought.

Mr. Meacher

I and my colleagues the Secretaries of State for Scotland and Wales hope to make an announcement very shortly. As well as consulting those whose co-operation would be needed to get such a code off to a good start, we have naturally consulted the four statutory tourism boards and I trust thereby have obtained views representative of all parts of the country.
