HC Deb 21 January 1977 vol 924 cc332-3W
Mr. Skeet

asked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) why the United Kingdom Offshore Operations Association is not represented on the Energy Commission;

(2) why, if BNOC has been given a position on the Energy Commission, similar representation has not been granted to individual oil companies operating in the United Kingdom;

(3) why 44 per cent. of the seats on the Energy Commission have been reserved for the TUC Fuel and Power Industry Committee.

Dr. John A. Cunningham

The composition of the proposed energy commission has not yet been decided. My right hon. Friend hopes to make a statement after he has completed the process of consultation to which he referred in his answer to my hon. Friend the Member for Bristol, North-East (Mr. Palmer) on 29th November 1976.—[Vol. 921, c 32.]
