asked the Secretary of State for Industry (1) what is the total value of grants made up to 31st December 1976 under the Textile Machinery Scheme: how many different projects these cover; and what is the principal purpose of these grants;

(2) what is the total value of grants made up to 31st December 1976 under the Printing Machinery Scheme; how many different projects these cover; and what is the principal purpose of these grants.

Details of selective financial assistance, including assistance offered to the textile and printing machinery industries, are published quarterly in the Department of Industry's publicationTrade and Industry as announced by my right hon.
