§ Sir J. Langford-Holtasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make a statement on the working of the European Convention on the Suppression of Terrorism; and what breaches of the convention have been reported to him.
§ Dr. OwenThe European Convention on the Suppression of Terrorism to which Her Majesty's Government attach great importance is not yet in force. It will be opened for signature on 27th January 1977 and will enter into force three months after it has been ratified by three of the Contracting Parties. Her Majesty's Government intend to sign the Convention on 27th January and to seek approval from Parliament to ratify the Convention without reservations at the earliest possible opportunity.
