§ Mr. Martenasked the Secretary of State for Transport whether, in view of the statement by the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection in the Official Report, 15th November 1976, column 920, that Government fees and charges are set at a level to do more than cover costs, he will reconsider his intention to charge £50 for the transfer of cherished number plates and substitute £15 which is the cost of the transfer.
